RULING All Progressives Congress (APC), as well as President Muhammadu Buhari, have been berated for not doing enough to establish the North-East Development Commission over one year after he assented the law for the establishment of the Commission aimed at rehabilitating the region from the ravage of the insurgency.
The accusation was made by the support group of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar known as, ‘Wazirin Adamawa Organisation of Warriors’ (WAOW) through its Patron, Alhaji Aminu A Ibrahim at the Command Guest House conference hall Bauchi, when he delivered a speech at a town hall meeting with the theme ‘Jiki Magayi’ Era Salvaging What Remains for Nigeria’ organised by WAOW to educate electorates on the need to vote for Atiku in the forth coming Presidential election.
He said that the importance of establishing the Commission towards rehabilitation, resettlement, reconciliation, reconstruction, and sustainable development of the zone in terms of infrastructure, human and social services cannot be over emphasized lamenting however that, “continued delay to establish the Commission will mean that the region is denied its rightful intervention strategy in the face of need.”
The Patron who faulted the present administration’s socio-economic and development policies said the administration has failed in its promise to improve the living standard of the common man instead, it has brought untold hardship and starve the life of Nigerians thereby advising Muhammadu Buhari to retire from Politics considering his health status.
Aminu Ibrahim also asked all electorates to vote for Atiku Abubakar who he opined has a better solutions to the needs and wants of the region and Nigerians considering his over 40 years’ experience both in public service and in politics, his service to the country and great vision he has for the region and assured that Nigerians that Atiku will not fail them.
He went on to accuse the present government of not fighting corruption wholistically by shielding people who are a close ally to the President and described Atiku Abubakar as the only presidential candidate that has a verifiable track record of canvassing for the need to alter the statusquo for Nigeria to achieving a sustainable peace, unity and progress.
The Coordinator of the Organisation, Aminu AS Muaz said the Organisation was established out of the desire of youths for a well-deserved change which was informed by the economic and social situation that the common man found himself in today in Nigeria.
He said that, “Today, the common man has little or no access to basic needs that included health care, food, shelter, good education, and believe that among all the presidential candidates Atiku is the best man with a Magic to proffer solutions to these problems.”
The Patron of the WAOW group further said that, “there are people who still flaunts yesterday’s solutions as the panacea for moving the country, forward today what they are propagating is a continuation of the failed statusquo, but what Nigeria needs is a real change leader like Atiku who has the vision and courage to alter the statusquo and pull this nation back from the brink of destruction.”
Aminu Ibrahim said, “Nigeria’s multi-dimensional challenges has reached an implosive stage and only a leader like Atiku who is truly detribalised who can usher Nigeria to the visionary of our dreams and urged electorates to support his presidential bid in the best interest of Nigeria.”
Meanwhile, the Bauchi State Deputy Zonal Coordinator of Atiku Presidential Campaign Organisation, Engineer Dr Usman Aliyu has explained that the North East wants nothing in 2019 but the presidency in order to provide genuine development for the region and the country at large.
Dr Usman Aliyu stated this when he spoke at a town hall meeting for electorates organized by the Atiku support group called Waziri of Adamawa Organisation of Warriors (WAOW( held at Command guest house Bauchi, saying that, “what Buhari government claims always is that they gave us so so and soso appointments but politics is a matter of give and take considering our position and the n umber of that votes always come from the region we deserved nothing but to make our son a President of Nigeria.”
Represented by State Coordinator of the campaign Organisation said Usman Aliyu said that “North East, this our chance, we can’t wait till another day, we must come out and give our votes emblock to Atiku Abubakar since he is our own and he has a good vision quality and exemplary leadership qualities to govern the country.”
Special Adviser to Speaker of the House of Representatives Yakubu Dogara on Political Affairs, Comrade Iliyasu Ibrahim Zwall said that when people consider the contribution of Yakubu Dogara as Speaker that is touch the living standard of the people of his constituencies and the entire North East communities, Nigerians will understand the value of choosing Atiku from the region to become our next president.”
He advised the electorates to support the Atiku presidential bid and to elect all formidable and credible candidates that will bring the required change for the people.
The town hall meeting was attended by various Atiku support groups , youths and women groups and many politicians and electorates.
