All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate Bola Ahmed Tinubu has named Kabir Ibrahim Masari as his running mate on Friday, June 17, the deadline set by INEC.
Kabir Ibrahim Masari, from the state of President Muhammadu Buhari, will be a “refund” until party members agree on the right person to run for office in 2023.
Tinubu’s decision by the APC was in line with the law and was challenged by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on political parties to nominate candidates for the presidency and their allies.
However, Tinubu will meet with President Muhammadu Buhari today, June 16, to discuss the issue.
A source said, according to ThisDay: “The name of the former vice-president will change to another politician in the north in the coming weeks. another politician who will be selected by Tinubu at a party next week.
“Politicians are still debating in many places because there are many questions about the runner’s choice, and he does not know all of them. Therefore, he often asks time for time to review everything. – whether it is led by a Muslim – Muslim or a Muslim-Christian ticket.
“He thinks there is a need for more dialogue, and that is what he is doing. ‘Therefore, there is a need for a global dialogue, which it does,” suggested a party source last night.
