The Super Eagles will face Ecuador in a friendly match at the Red Bull Arena, Harrison, on May 2.

His first task was to qualify for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.

He is confident that the Super Eagles can win the upcoming AFCON tournament.

“Pride! It is a matter of great pride and joy that I am the coach of one of the biggest football teams in the world. The Super Eagles’ mission begins with the recognition of its history, its value, and its source of inspiration,” Peseiro wrote on his Twitter account.

“More than 200 million Nigerians, from all states and tribes, want the same thing: success.

“We will work with great ambition to finally call Nigeria” Champions African four times @ng_supereagles. “
